People Say The Nicest Things...Thank You

Perfect 2 night break

Both my husband and I found this bed and breakfast perfect.

On the morning we were due to arrive Kim called to let us know the room would be ready early should we want to check in earlier than the 14:00 - 16:00 we were first anticipating. As it was a lovely sunny day this meant we could start our journey to Torquay earlier than planned - much appreciated.

Both Kim and David were very welcoming. Upon arrival Kim met us at the front door, showed us to the breakfast room where we checked in and promptly showed to our room - maps and local information were offered at this point.

The room was spacious, very clean and had great facilities - such as a flat screen tv/iPod docking station, a mini fridge, hospitality tray, kettle, toiletries, guest information pack, a hair dryer etc.

We were given a menu to enable us to chose our breakfast choice - this is a brilliant idea - saves on food wastage massively & time each morning as you to order exactly what you want. The choice was very extensive, anything from cereal & fruit, yoghurt, spreads, beans/eggs on toast, a full English & even smoked salmon!

We explored Torquay on day one - there are several different routes you can take towards the Harbourside/seafront - the easiest we found was to leave the hotel, walk up the road towards Newton road, before taking a right down Belgrave Road - this road has a couple of bars and shops which are open until around 10pm. Should you wish the number 12 bus can be picked up from Newton road to the harbour and back... Not sure of the price as of we didn't use it, but imagine it would only take 5/10 minutes.

Breakfast was brilliant. The cooked breakfast was so fresh and plenty of choice. Our table was set lovely for us on both mornings, our juice ready and as soon as we sat David would come along with our tea/coffee - which we were able to enjoy for a few minutes before our breakfast arrived.

We hope to return to Bentley Lodge later this year.

Kim & David - thank you so much for such an enjoyable stay.

Thank You Peter & Barabara For The Lovely Review

Two Night Break

One of the best places I have stayed for a very long time.
Would highly recommend it to anyone.
Everything was of a high standard.
The breakfast was very good and there was a lot of choice.
It is only a short walk to the sea front and then another short walk into town.
There is adequate parking and we spent the first day in Torquay so we didn't need the car.

An elegant evening of snappy wit, glamour and perceptive observation that promises to be a deliciously delectable and unforgettable classic.

A masterpiece of 1930’s high comedy, Private Lives is the sophisticated evening of acutely sharp, divinely decedent, and unashamed humour.

Have A Laugh At Bentley Lodge Guest House Torquay

FIREMAN AND THE LITTLE GIRL

A Fireman is polishing his fire engine outside the fire station when he notices a little girl next door in a little red cart with little ladders hung on the side and a garden hose tightly coiled in the middle.

The little girl is wearing a fireman’s helmet and has the cart tied to a dog and a cat.

The fire-fighter walks over to take a closer look:

“That’s a lovely engine”, he says admiringly. “Thanks”, says the little girl. The fire-fighter looks closer and notices the little girl has tied one of the carts strings to the dog’s collar and one to the cat’s testicles.

“Little colleague”, says the fire-fighter, “I don’t want to tell you how to run your fire engine, but if you were to tie that rope around the cat’s collar, I think you could probably go a lot faster”

The little girl pauses for a moment, looks at the wagon, at the dog and at the cat, then shyly looks into the fireman’s eyes and says:

“You’re probably right, but then I wouldn’t have a siren, would I?
